When we fail to demonstrate the fullness of the Kingdom as the church it can be that once again we spurn the humble shepherd. The fullness of the Kingdom is established through a Shepherd-King who gathers the sheep, protects the flock, care through self-sacrifice, and guides the flock to green pastures and fresh water.
